My life is different now I swear

Life has been throwing me some curveballs lately and I figured it's time to forge a new path. Push through into all the things that I want to do. Finish the Loud graphic novel and other comic ideas, open up some new freelance opportunities, try to get some new artwork out, and finally polish my style. It's a new chapter of life for me and I'm going to accept it and steer it in the direction that I want to.
Here is the first of new artwork from me. Voices I had while I was just dealing with these changes and every thought in my head was just pulling me in all different directions. Voices in my head just telling me every contradicting idea and how to pull it off. Voices that I know I should listen to and some that I just need to drown out. Voices that I know sometimes we all hate to listen to.
This is a time for changing and adjusting to the new path. I'll be around more often.
See you around.

"Hi my name is Pluto! Pllllllllllllllbrt!"

This is Pluto, he's an Ice Elemental! He makes the cold, the snow, and the ice. He hangs out with other elementals and has fun because they are all a playful bunch. He's weak against fire types but his best friend is Apollo the fire elemental. Together they just run around the world causing all sorts of crazy problems like climate change. You can't be mad at them though because those whipper snappers are adorable.

The Great Hunger is Upon Me!

Here is a redesign of The Devourer of Worlds, Galactus. Still trying to keep his outfit a little sleek, while also keeping the same color scheme. All this with try to make it Galactus. I think I did a good job of "modernizing" the helmet. The helmet is what makes Galactus recognizable, those two prongs sticking out of his head. Also the stone cold expression on his face. The hole in his chest is the energy that he has drained from worlds and when it gets dark in dim in there, he hungers for another planet. The holes in his hands and chest are to plug the machine that he uses, to feed off of planets, into him. He's a hungry hungry man.
Good night surfer.

Foolish and Reckless

A submission for a poster contest for Marvel vs. Capcom 3. Trying to go in a direction that makes the poster look old and printed while still making it pop and look fresh. Another thing I implemented in the piece is the use of Kirby dots it looks kind of cool. I am liking the way that it came out. The colors pop!

Keep fighting,

A new generation of Horror Story

I've been getting into the whole creepy pasta thing on the internet. Primarily they are scary stories that are being blogged everyday at various websites. I've fallen in love with the ones that have to do with old video games and video game cartridges. Here is a good one about the old Zelda game Majora's Mask . There are other pokemon ones as well. This illustration is inspired by the Zelda story on the prior link. Enjoy the story and the image!

Stay scared,
Marcelo

Game over

Another digital image and a simplified reimagining of the sequel to Alien, Aliens. Sketched out the idea in thumbnails then I worked magic with the pen tool. It was an experiment in patience, but luckily the images turned out great. Enjoy it guys!

No one can hear you scream

I'm starting to re-imagine posters for classic movies. Here is a rework of one of my favorites. It is completely digital and I am trying to keep them very simplistic and still interesting. I think I've accomplished this.

Rolling

A painting I did of the sister of Megaman. Her name is Roll and she can kick some ass. One of the first large scale paintings that I've done in a long time.
